All policies in place are subject to change at anytime as we deem necessary.


We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any person or business, for any reason.


We do our best to describe animals on sales posts accurately, including any defects (such as a tail nip, or missing toenail, etc.) with the use of pictures and/or videos as well as its genetics (when applicable). Pictures are taken to represent the overall structure and look of the animal. Color of the animal can vary depending on what device the picture is being viewed on, lighting, and camera being used to take the pictures. We do everything in our power to represent our animals as accurately and true to what they look like in person as possible.


We do not guarantee the sex of any animal we have for sale that is under 6 months of age, regardless of the species, however we are usually very accurate sexing at a young age.



payment


Payment must be received immediately when placing an order. If payment is not received, the animal will still be available to the paying customer. A deposit is required in order to claim an animal, first come first served. We do not hold animals without a 40% deposit. Animals on hold must be paid off within 48hrs unless a payment plan has been established or other terms have been agreed upon. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. 


We accept PayPal (Invoice will be sent directly to you), Zelle, or we can take a Credit/Debit Card over the phone.


In the event of a cancelled purchase on the buyers end that has nothing to do with the seller, the buyer will have one of two options: the purchase price will not be refunded, but store credit will be issued for the full purchase amount or a 25% restocking fee is taken out of the full purchase price of the order and the remaining 75% of the purchase price is refunded to the buyer.



deposits & payment plans


We will do a payment plan on most everything we have available as long as your order is over $400.00 with a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, and regular payments must be received until the balance is paid off in full within the time period agreed upon. Payment plans should be completed within 30 days of deposit, few exceptions will be made. If the payment terms agreed upon are broken, THE ITEM WILL GO BACK FOR SALE AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL BE FORFEITED. So please be positive you want to go through with a purchase BEFORE entering a payment plan.



shipping


We ship Monday's & Tuesday's for arrival the next day. All animal orders are shipped via FedEX Priority overnight with delivery confirmation. We are currently only shipping to your nearest FedEx Hub to be held for pickup to ensure your animal's safety. Some exceptions can be made to have your animal shipped directly to your door if you reach out to us ahead of time but you are required to be home to accept the shipment, otherwise all guarantees are void.


Shipping of animals is weather permitting. We will not ship an animal when it has been determined that the temperatures are too cold (under 40f) or too hot over (90f). There is no exception to this rule. It is your responsibility to inform us about your temperature if it falls outside of these parameters. We will not ship if a "NO Shipping Order" has been placed by our shipping company and will wait until conditions are safe again before shipping your animal.


Shipping is NOT usually included in the asking price and is added at checkout. If you are purchasing more than one animal, please contact us beforehand because we may be able to ship your animals in the same box and ultimately save you a significant amount on shipping fees. We can then adjust your price accordingly. Otherwise, we charge a flat rate shipping fee of $55 for most of our animals to help keep things simple and affordable for the buyer. Certain adult, heavy, or large animals will have a higher shipping price to properly accommodate their travels. Fees are non refundable under any circumstance unless a mistake was made by Killer Clutches. It is the buyer’s responsibility to send us the correct shipping information, otherwise any guarantees will be void.


We are currently only shipping within the continental U.S. No exportation to Canada, Europe, or Asia is available at this time.



live arrival / health guarantee


All animals have a live arrival guarantee as long as there is not a problem with the shipping company. We cannot be held liable for something we have no control over. All packages being shipped to FedEX hubs must be picked up within the SAME DAY that they arrive, otherwise all guarantees will be void. For all packages being shipped anywhere else, SOMEONE MUST BE HOME to accept the animal and SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE. If the animal is left at the door, or no one is there to pick it up, all guarantees are void.


If there is a problem with your shipment, we require you to notify us by email (killerclutches.contact@gmail.com) or phone (310.993.5459) within one hour of the delivery time stamp. In the case of a DOA (dead on arrival), you must provide a photo or video of the dead animal / animals inside the original shipping container. DOAs are eligible for a replacement animal shipped to you at no additional charge or a refund excluding the shipping fees. Killer Clutches is only responsible for replacing/refunding the original purchase price of the animal. If the shipping cost was included in the purchase price of the animals, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount if the refund option is chosen. If a package arrives after scheduled arrival time due to an error on FedEX part causing the animal to arrive deceased, we will seek a refund for shipping cost and return it to the buyer if it is awarded. 


We provide a 14-day health guarantee on our animals as long as proper husbandry is being followed. Since this is a live animal, once they leave our hands, we cannot control how they are cared for. We require the new owner to communicate with us if the animal is not settling in well. If you do not communicate with us that you are having an issue, and you contact us after the 14 days, we cannot be responsible for the animal’s health. If your animal is acting off, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance BEFORE you take any action. DO NOT seek the advice of another person or search engine before contacting us. If for any reason you decide you no longer wish to have the animal, or wish to exchange it, this will be done entirely at our discretion. We will require you to ship the animal back to us at your expense. A replacement animal can then be issued upon receipt of the old one. 


Health guarantees only qualify for store credit or a replacement animal. No refunds are given.


returns/refunds


No RETURNS will be accepted for gender, temperament, color, cosmetic defects, or any other reason. We do our best to predict gender but some babies show later than others. Although captive bred, these are wild animals at the end of the day and they will display a wide range of defense mechanisms in order to protect themselves. Particularly babies that are still learning to trust humans so please be patient with your new pet and reach out to us for advice on how to properly handle and bond with it. The color of various species of reptiles can change as they age so we cannot predict or be held responsible for these color changes. Many animals can even change color throughout the day (fired up or fired down) so please keep this in mind when purchasing an animal from us and do extensive research on your particular species. These are living, breathing animals with individual personalities and we cannot control every aspect of nature.

If for any reason you decide you no longer wish to have the animal, or wish to exchange it, this will be done entirely at our discretion. We will require you to ship the animal back to us at your expense. A replacement animal or refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping fees) can then be issued upon receipt of the old one. 


DOA & Cancellations prior to shipping are one of the few circumstances where a refund can be issued but most, if not all other situations will be resolved by issuing store credit or a replacement animal.


STORE CREDIT will be issued using a written & signed card in person or through a written & signed email for online customers. Store credit can be used to purchase any animal we have for sale and is not restricted to the same species you originally purchased. All store credit has an expiration date of 1 year from the date it was issued, any credit not used when the allotted time is up will be forfeited. Local customers may use store credit to purchase feeders but it is not valid for merchandise.


REPLACEMENT ANIMALS will always be of equal or higher value than the one being replaced. Replacements will usually be of the same species as the animal you originally purchased however, exceptions can be made for you to receive an entirely different kind of animal. If you would like to receive an animal of a much higher price point than what you originally paid, we can subtract your initial purchase amount from the new animal and you can pay the difference. Most of the time, you will be responsible for paying the shipping fees for a replacement animal but we may chose to waive these fees on a case to case basis and entirely at our discretion.


Surrenders/rescues


SURRENDERS are defined as animal/s that are willingly given to us by an individual/entity due to no longer being able to care for/want/need said animal/s or for any other reason whatsoever. These animals are considered to be in moderate to good health. Once they arrive at 44 Rock Creek Rd, Chico, CA 95973 and are put in our care, you are surrendering ownership of the animal/s and they now belong to Killer Clutches, effective immediately. The majority of the time, surrendered animals are no longer eligible to be returned to their original owners for various reasons. In rare cases, we may allow a surrendered animal/s to return to their original home if we deem that proper housing and husbandry practices will be followed to benefit the life of said animal/s. In order to regain ownership and possession of approved surrenders, the original owner must either pay the boarding fees & medical bills for each animal for the duration of their stay in our care: $5/day for each Lizard/Tortoise or $12/week for each Snake or they can pay the retail price for each animal they wish to get back, whichever price is less. Please note: This policy does not apply to animals on consignment, which require a written and printed "Consignment Agreement" that is provided by Killer Clutches and is signed in person by all parties involved to be effective.


RESCUES are defined as animal/s that are willingly or unwillingly (Confiscated by Animal Control/Fish & Game, etc) given to us by an individual/entity due to no longer being able/allowed to care for/want/need said animal/s or for any other reason whatsoever. These animals are considered to be in severe to bad health. Once they arrive at 44 Rock Creek Rd, Chico, CA 95973 and are put in our care, you are surrendering ownership of the animal/s and they now belong to Killer Clutches, effective immediately. Rescued animals are no longer eligible to be returned to their original owners under any circumstance. After rehabilitation and any medical treatments needed by a rescued animal, we may decide to keep them here at Killer Clutches for the duration of their lives or adopt them out to an approved forever home.
